PHILIPS LIMITED WARRANTY
ONE (1) YEAR
WARRANTY COVERAGE:
PHILIPS warranty obligation is limite d to t h e terms set f ort h
below.
WHO IS COVERED:
P h ilips warrants t h e pro d uct to t h e original purc h aser or t h e per-
son receiving t h e pro d uct as a gi f t against d e f ects in materials an d
workmans h ip as base d on t h e d ate o f original purc h ase
(“Warranty Perio d ”) f rom an Aut h orize d Dealer. T h e original
sales receipt s h owing t h e pro d uct name an d t h e purc h ase d ate
f rom an aut h orize d retailer is consi d ere d suc h proo f .
WHAT IS COVERED:
T h e P h ilips warranty covers new pro d ucts i f a d e f ect in material
or workmans h ip occurs an d a vali d claim is receive d by P h ilips
wit h in t h e Warranty Perio d . At its option, P h ilips will eit h er ( 1 )
repair t h e pro d uct at no c h arge, using new or re f urbis h e d
replacement parts, or (2) exc h ange t h e pro d uct wit h a pro d uct
t h at is new or w h ic h h as been manu f acture d f rom new, or ser-
viceable use d parts an d is at least f unctionally equivalent or most
comparable to t h e original pro d uct in P h ilips current inventory,
or (3) re f un d t h e original purc h ase price o f t h e pro d uct.
P h ilips warrants replacement pro d ucts or parts provi d e d un d er
t h is warranty against d e f ects in materials an d workmans h ip f rom
t h e d ate o f t h e replacement or repair f or ninety (90) d ays or f or
t h e remaining portion o f t h e original pro d uct’s warranty,
w h ic h ever provi d es longer coverage f or you. W h en a pro d uct or
part is exc h ange d , any replacement item becomes your property
an d t h e replace d item becomes P h ilips’ property. W h en a re f un d
is given, your pro d uct becomes P h ilips’ property.
Note: Any product sold and identified as refurbished or
renewed carries a ninety (90) day limited warranty.
Replacement product can only be sent if all warranty
requirements are met. Failure to follow all requirements
can result in delay.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED - EXCLUSIONS AND LIMI-
TATIONS:
T h is Limite d Warranty applies only to t h e new pro d ucts manu-
f acture d by or f or P h ilips t h at can be i d enti f ie d by t h e tra d emark,
tra d e name, or logo a ff ixe d to it. T h is Limite d Warranty d oes not
apply to any non-P h ilips h ar d ware pro d uct or any so f tware, even
i f package d or sol d wit h t h e pro d uct. Non-P h ilips manu f acturers,
suppliers, or publis h ers may provi d e a separate warranty f or t h eir
own pro d ucts package d wit h t h e bun d le d pro d uct.
P h ilips is not liable f or any d amage to or loss o f any programs,
d ata, or ot h er in f ormation store d on any me d ia containe d wit h in
t h e pro d uct, or any non-P h ilips pro d uct or part not covere d by
t h is warranty. Recovery or reinstallation o f programs, d ata or
ot h er in f ormation is not covere d un d er t h is Limite d Warranty.
T h is warranty d oes not apply (a) to d amage cause d by acci d ent,
abuse, misuse, neglect, misapplication, or non-P h ilips pro d uct, (b)
to d amage cause d by service per f orme d by anyone ot h er t h an
P h ilips or P h ilips Aut h orize d Service Location, (c) to a pro d uct or
a part t h at h as been mo d i f ie d wit h out t h e written permission o f
P h ilips, or ( d ) i f any P h ilips serial number h as been remove d or
d e f ace d , or (e) pro d uct, accessories or consumables sol d “AS IS”
wit h out warranty o f any kin d by inclu d ing re f urbis h e d P h ilips
pro d uct sol d “AS IS” by some retailers.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
• S h ipping c h arges to return d e f ective pro d uct to P h ilips.
• Labor c h arges f or installation or setup o f t h e pro d uct, a d just-
ment o f customer controls on t h e pro d uct, an d installation or
repair o f antenna / signal source systems outsi d e o f t h e pro d uct.
• Pro d uct repair an d/ or part replacement because o f improper
installation or maintenance, connections to improper voltage
supply, power line surge, lig
h tning d amage, retaine d images or
screen markings resulting f rom viewing f ixe d stationary con-
tent f or exten d e d perio d s, pro d uct cosmetic appearance items
d ue to normal wear an d tear, unaut h orize d repair or ot h er
cause not wit h in t h e control o f P h ilips.
• Damage or claims f or pro d ucts not being available f or use, or
f or lost d ata or lost so f tware.
• Damage f rom mis h an d le d s h ipments or transit acci d ents w h en
returning pro d uct to P h ilips.
• A pro d uct t h at requires mo d i f ication or a d aptation to enable
it to operate in any country ot h er t h an t h e country f or w h ic h
it was d esigne d , manu f acture d , approve d an d/ or aut h orize d , or
repair o f pro d ucts d amage d by t h ese mo d i f ications.
• A pro d uct use d f or commercial or institutional purposes
(inclu d ing but not limite d to rental purposes).
• Pro d uct lost in s h ipment an d no signature veri f ication receipt
can be provi d e d .
• Failure to operate per Owner’s Manual.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS
WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR THE CON-
SUMER. PHILIPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDEN-
TAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF
ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PROD-
UCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE
LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT
IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS
WARRANTY.
