Making the hair clipper ready for use
Dependent upon the required application, you can use your
hair clipper with or without the comb attachment.
If mounted, the comb attachment can be set to 7 cutting
length positions.
You can slide the control knob when the release button (on
top of the knob) is kept pressed-down. When released, the
control knob is locked in the selected position.
• Clipping with comb attachment
- Set the required cutting length (fig. 2). Keeping the control
knob pressed-down (1), slide (2) it into one of the
7 positions. Then release the knob.
• Clipping without comb attachment
- Pull the comb attachment from the appliance (fig. 3).
- Insert the mains plug into the wall socket (fig. 4).
(Please note: the mains plug and wall socket shown in the
illustration are not applicable to the United Kingdom.)
- Switch the appliance on (fig. 5).
Tips
• Ensure that your movements are well-controlled,
especially when using without comb attachment. Touch
the hair lightly with the hair clipper.
• Regularly shake (fig. 6) and/or blow (fig. 7) off the hairs
from the top of the clipper.
• While clipping with comb attachment: If much hair has
accumulated in the comb area, pull off the comb
attachment (fig. 8) and remove the hair by shaking (fig. 9)
and/or blowing (fig. 10).
• If the cutting speed decreases it may be necessary to
remove and clean the cutting unit.

• Always switch off after use. It is advisable to clean the
cutting unit directly after use.
Cleaning: after each use
- Switch off (fig. 11).
- Remove the cutting unit (fig. 12).
- Clean the cutting unit and the inside of the appliance using
the brush (fig. 13);
- To reassamble, hook the cutting unit on to the housing as
illustrated (fig. 14) and push until you hear a click (fig. 15).
Replacement cutting unit
Use only an original Philips replacement cutting unit to
replace a worn or damaged cutting unit.
How to clip
General
• Ensure that your clipper is clean.
• Let the person whose hair you are going to cut sit so that
the top of his/her head is on your eye level. Wrap a towel
around his/her neck.
• Before you start cutting, comb the hair well. Ensure that it
is untangled. It is not necessary to wash the hair before
cutting.
• For good cutting control and a smooth result hold the
clipper in a relaxed grip.
• The best results will be achieved if the hair clipper is used
on dry hair.
• When cutting long or semi-long hair it is advisable to cut
over a styling comb or to grasp the hair between your
fingers as described in section "Cutting over styling comb
or fingers".
• For short hair, a light trimming at the neck and sides may
be all that is needed for a well-groomed haircut.
• At regular intervals stop cutting, comb the hair and check
the results so far.
Hair cutting with comb attachment
(4-17 mm remaining hair length)
- Begin with the setting for maximum hair length (i.e.
position 7). After you have familiarized yourself with the
product and have gained some experience, you may
select a particular hair length.
- You can select seven hair length settings (see fig. 2).

- Before cutting, comb the hair so that it falls naturally.
- In general, it is advisable to start from the neck and work
towards the top of the head. Next cut the front and the top
of the head (fig. 16).
Hold the clipper so that the flat side of the comb
attachment is directed towards the head. Move it slowly
upwards and then away from the head, cutting only a
small amount at a time.
In the same manner cut the hair at the sides and the back
of the head (fig. 17, 18).
- If you want the hair cut on the sides or back of the head
shorter than on top, change to a lower hair length setting
and continue to cut against the direction of the hair growth.
Cutting over styling comb or fingers
If you want to cut the hair to a length of more than 17 mm,
you can use the "over styling comb" method.
- Remove the comb attachment (fig. 3).
- Lift a small section of hair at a time with a styling comb
(fig. 19) or grasp the section of hair between two fingers
(fig. 20).
Move the comb or fingers through the hair until only the
length sticks out which you want to clip off.
- Trim the hair protruding from the comb or fingers.
Continue this procedure working from the front to the back
of the head. As you work to the back, you may gradually
cut hair shorter. To check the cutting length, take a cut-off
hair section for measuring.
- Comb frequently to remove cut hair and to check for
uneven areas.
Outlining
- Comb the hair.
- Remove the comb attachment (fig. 3).
- For even hair length at the base of the neck cut the hair as
shown in fig. 21, holding the clipper in reversed position
lightly against the hair. Make overlapping strokes
downwards to the neck (fig. 22).
- Proceed in the same manner for cutting sideburns (fig. 23).
- For cutting the hair close to the ears put one corner of the
cutter on the hair. Ensure that the teeth are at a safe
distance from the ears (fig. 24).
Slowly and carefully shape the desired outline of the hair
(fig. 25).
Crew cut (fig. 26)
- Comb the hair into its natural direction.
- Select hair length setting 7 (maximum hair length). Cut
the hair from the back side of the neck towards the crown
(fig. 27).
- Cut the sides of the head making overlapping strokes
straight upwards (fig. 28), i.e. parallel to the sides of the
head. Hold the comb attachment flat against the head.
Move the clipper slowly through the hair, leaving the hair
on top of the head uncut.
- If you wish you can cut the hair at the neck and sides a
second time, using a lower position (i.e. 3 or 4).
- For a flat top look, cut the hair on the top of the head over
a styling comb or over the fingers (fig. 29, 30) using the
hair clipper without comb attachment.

- Finish the haircut by outlining the neckline and sideburns.

Short cut
- Comb the hair into its natural direction.
- Select the desired hair length for the back and the sides of
the head.
- Cut the back and the sides of the head making overlapping
strokes straight upwards (fig. 31). Hold the comb
attachment flat against the head. Move the clipper slowly
through the hair, leaving the hair on top of the head uncut.
- Select the desired hair length for the top of the head.
- Cut the top of the head (fig. 32). Start at the front side and
work towards the crown. Hold the comb attachment flat
against the head.
- For outlining use the hair clipper without comb attachment.

Pregătirea maşinii de tuns pentru utilizare
În funcţie de aplicaţia dorită, puteţi folosi maşina de tuns cu sau fără
pieptenele de frezat.După montare, pieptenele de frezat poate fi reglat
pe 7 lungimi de tăiere. Puteţi culisa selectorul dacă ţineţi apăsat
butonul de declanşare (de pe selectorului). Când eliberaţi butonul,
selectorul va rămâne blocat pe poziţia reglată.
• Tundere cu pieptenele de frezat
- Selectaţi poziţia dorită (fig. 2). Ţineţi apăsat selectorul (1), culisaţi-l
(2) pe una din cele 7 poziţii. Eliberaţi butonul.
• Tundere fără pieptenele de frezat
- Scoateţi pieptenele de frezat din aparat (fig. 3).
- Introduceţi ştecherul în priză (fig. 4).
(Notă: ştecherul şi priza din imagine nu sunt valabile pentru Marea
Britanie.)
- Porniţi aparatul (fig. 5).
Sugestii
• În special când folosiţi pieptenele de frezat, mişcările trebuie să fie
ferme. Atingeţi uşor părul cu maşina de tuns.
• Scuturaţi regulat aparatul (fig. 6) şi/sau suflaţi părul (fig. 7) de pe
partea superioară a maşinii de tuns.
• În timp ce tundeţi cu pieptenele de frezat: Dacă s-a acumulat mult
păr pe pieptene sau în jurul lui, scoateţi-l (fig. 8) şi îndepărtaţi
părul scuturându-l (fig. 9) şi/sau suflându-l(fig. 10).
• Dacă viteza de tăiere scade, este probabil nevoie să scoateţi
unitatea de tăiere şi s-o curăţaţi.
• Vă rugăm să consultaţi capitolul "Curăţare: după fiecare utilizare".
• Opriţi întotdeauna aparatul după utilizare. Se recomandă
curăţarea unităţii de tăiere imediat după folosire.
Curăţare: după fiecare utilizare
- Opriţi aparatul (fig. 11).
- Scoateţi unitatea de tăiere (fig. 12).
- Curăţaţi unitatea de tăiere şi interiorul aparatului cu ajutorul
periuţei (fig. 13).
- Pentru montare, fixaţi unitatea de tăiere pe carcasa aparatului
conform ilustraţiilor (fig. 14) şi împingeţi-o până veţi auzi clic (fig.
15).
Înlocuirea unităţii de tăiere
Folosiţi doar o unitate de tăiere originală Philips pentru a înlocui o
unitate de tăiere uzată sau deteriorată.
Cum să tundeţi
În general
• Verificaţi ca maşina de tuns să fie curată.
• Persoana pe care urmaţi s-o tundeţi trebuie să stea aşezată în aşa
fel încât creştetul capului să fie poziţionat la nivelul ochilor
dumneavoastră. Înfăşuraţi-i un prosop în jurul gâtului.
• Înainte de a începe să tundeţi, pieptănaţi bine părul. Acesta
trebuia să fie descurcat. Nu este nevoie să spălaţi părul înainte de
tundere.
• Pentru un control bun asupra procesului de tundere şi pentru
obţinerea unor rezultate bune, ţineţi maşina de tuns fără să
încordaţi mâna.
• Cele mai bune rezultate se obţin pe părul uscat.
• Când tundeţi o persoană cu părul lung sau mediu, se recomandă
tunderea cu ajutorul pieptenelui de coafat sau prinderea părului
între degete conform imaginilor din capitolul "Tunderea cu
ajutorul pieptenelui de coafat sau peste degete".
• În cazul părului scurt, o finisare la ceafă şi în părţi ar putea fi
suficientă pentru întreţinerea unei frizuri îngrijite.
• Opriţi tunderea părului în mod regulat, pieptănaţi-l şi verificaţi
rezultatele din momentul respectiv.
Tunderea părului cu pieptenele de frezat
(lungimea rămasă a părului 4-17 mm)
- Începeţi cu poziţia pentru lungimea maximă a părului (poziţia 7).
După ce v-aţi familiarizat cu aparatul şi aţi căpătat puţină
îndemânare, puteţi regla aparatul pe poziţia dorită.
- Puteţi regla aparatul pe şapte poziţii diferite (a se vedea fig. 2).

- Înainte de tundere, pieptănaţi părul lăsându-l să cadă natural pe
spate.
- În general, se recomandă începerea tunsorii de la ceafă spre
creştet. Tundeţi apoi în părţi şi părul din creştetul capului (fig. 16).
Ţineţi maşina de tuns în aşa fel încât partea aplatizată a pieptenelui
de frezat să fie îndreptată spre cap. Deplasaţi maşina de tuns uşor
în sus îndepărtând-o din păr şi tăind şuviţe potrivit de groase.
Tundeţi la fel părul din lateral şi de la ceafă. (fig. 17, 18).
- Dacă doriţi ca părul de la ceafă şi perciunii să fie mai scurţi ca
părul din creştet, poziţionaţi selectorul pe o lungime mai mică şi
continuaţi tunderea în sens invers creşterii părului.
Tundere cu ajutorul pieptenului de frezat sau peste
degete
Dacă doriţi să tundeţi părul la o lungime de peste 17 mm, puteţi
folosi metoda "pe deasupra pieptenelui".
- Scoateţi pieptenele de frizat (fig. 3).
- Ridicaţi o şuviţă subţire de păr cu pieptenele (fig. 19) sau prindeţi
şuviţa între degete (fig. 20).
Deplasaţi pieptenele sau degetele prin păr până ce rămâne în
exterior lungimea pe care doriţi s-o tăiaţi.
- Tundeţi părul ce iese prin pieptene sau printre degete.
Continuaţi această procedură tunzând din faţă înspre spate. Când
înaintaţi spre ceafă aţi putea tăia părul din ce în ce mai scurt.
Pentru a controla lungimea, ghidaţi-vă după o şuviţă tunsă.
- Pieptănaţi frecvent pentru a îndepărta firele tăiate şi pentru a
verifica dacă sunt zone tunse neregulat.
Conturare
- Pieptănaţi părul.
- Scoateţi pieptenele de frezat (fig. 3).
- Pentru o lungime regulată la baze cefei tundeţi părul conform fig.
21, ţinând maşina de tuns invers, uşor perpendicular pe păr.
Tundeţi cu mişcări suprapuse înspre ceafă (fig. 22).
- Procedaţi la fel pentru tunderea perciunilor (fig. 23).
- Pentrutunderea părului din apropierea urechilor poziţionaţi un
colţ al dispozitivului de tăiere pe păr. Aveţi grijă ca dinţii
dispozitivului să fie la o distanţă sigură de urechi (fig. 24).
Realizaţi conturul dorit încet şi cu grijă (fig. 25).
Tunsoare bros
(fig. 26)
- Pieptănaţi părul în sensul creşterii firelor de păr.
- Selecţionaţi poziţia 7 (lungime maximă). Tundeţi părul dinspre
ceafă spre creştet (fig. 27).
- Părul din lateral se tunde cu mişcări ascendente suprapuse (fig.
28), în paralel cu părţile laterale ale capului. Deplasaţi maşina de
tuns lent prin păr, fără a tunde părul din creştet.
- Dacă doriţi, puteţi tunde părul de pe ceafă şi din părţi încă o dată,
utilizând o poziţie inferioară (de ex. 3 sau 4).
- Pentru un aspect perfect plat al părului din creştet, tundeţi părul
din creştet cu ajutorul pieptenelui de coafat sau peste degete (fig.
29, 30) fără a ataşa pieptenele de frezat.

- Finisaţi tunsoarea conturând ceafa şi perciunii. Consultaţi şi
capitolul "Conturare".
Tunsoare scurtă
- Pieptănaţi părul în sensul creşterii firelor de păr.
- Selecţionaţi lungimea dorită pentru părul din zona cefei şi a
perciunilor.
- Părul din lateral şi de la ceafă se tunde cu mişcări ascendente
suprapuse (fig. 31). Poziţionaţi pieptenele de frezat perpendicular
pe cap. Deplasaţi maşina de tuns lent prin păr, fără a tunde părul
din creştet.
- Selecţionaţi lungimea dorită pentru părul din creştet.
- Tundeţi părul din creştet (fig. 32). Începeţi din faţă înspre creştetul
capului. Poziţionaţi corect pieptenele de frezat pe cap.
- Pentru contururi folosiţi maşina de tuns fără pieptenele de frezat.

Priprava aparata za striženje las za uporabo
Odvisno od želene uporabe, lahko vaš aparat uporabljate z ali brez
nastavka v obliki glavnika.
Če je nastavek nameščen, ga lahko nastavite na 7 različnih dolžin
striženja.
Regulacijski gumb lahko potiskate, ko je sprostilni gumb (na vrhu
gumba) pritisnjen. Ko je sproščen, je regulacijski gumb zaklenjen v
izbranem položaju.
• Striženje z nastavkom za striženje v obliki glavnika
- Nastavite želeno dolžino striženja (sl. 2). Pritisnite regulacijski
gumb (1) in ga potisnite (2) v enega od sedmih položajev. Nato
gumb sprostite.
• Striženje brez nastavka (glavnička)
- Snemite nastavek iz aparata (sl. 3).
- Vstavite omrežni vtikač v omrežno vtičnico (sl. 4).

Nasveti
• Pazite, da bodo vaši gibi dobro kontrolirani, zlasti ko nimate
nameščenega nastavka. S strižnim delom se narahlo dotikajte las.
• Redno stresajte (sl. 6) in/ali pihajte (sl. 7) lase iz strižne enote.
• Med striženjem z nastavkom: Če se v nastavku nabere veliko las,
izvlecite nastavek (sl. 8) in jih stresite (sl. 9) in/ali spihajte (sl. 10) z

• Če se hitrost rezanja zmanjšuje, bo verjetno potrebno strižno

Čiščenje: po vsaki uporabi
- Izklopite aparat (sl. 11).
- Odstranite strižno enoto (sl. 12).
- S krtačko očistite strižno enoto in notranjost aparata (sl. 13).
- Strižno enoto ponovno namestite tako, da jo nataknete na ohišje
aparata kot je ilustrirano (sl. 14) in jo potisnite, da se zaskoči s
klikom (sl. 15).

Kako striči
Splošno
• Vaš aparat mora biti čist.
• Oseba, katero nameravate striči, naj sedi tako, da bo vrh njene
glave v višini vaših oči. Okoli vratu ji ovijte brisačo.
• Preden začnete s striženjem, lase dobro počešite. Pazite, da ne
bodo zavozlani. Pred striženjem las ni potrebno oprati.
• Za dobro kontrolo nad striženjem in lep rezultat, držite aparat
sproščeno v roki.
• Najboljše se striže suhe lase.
• Ko strižete dolge in srednje dolge lase je priporočljivo, da strižete
s pomočjo nastavka v obliki glavnika ali pa da lase zagrabite med
prste, kot je opisano v poglavju “Striženje preko glavnika za
česanje ali prstov”.
• Za kratke lase je lahko rahlo striženje na vratu in ob straneh vse
kar je potrebno za lepo oblikovano pričesko.
• V rednih intervalih prekinjajte striženje, počešite lase in preverite
dosedanji rezultat.
Striženje las z nastavkom v obliki glavnika
(preostala dolžina las 4-17 mm)
- Začnite z nastavitvijo za maksimalno dolžino las (to je položaj 7).
Potem, ko ste se “spoprijateljili” z aparatom in ste pridobili nekaj
izkušenj, lahko nastavite tudni krajšo dolžino las.
- Izbirate lahko med sedmimi različnimi nastavitvami (glej sl. 2).

- Pred striženjem lase počešite tako, da bodo padali tako, kot
naravno padajo.
- Priporočljivo je, da začnete od vratu navzgor proti vrhu glave.
Nato strižite lase na čelu in po vrhu glave (sl. 16).
Aparat držite tako, da bo nastavek v obliki glavnika usmerjen proti
glavi.
Premikajte ga počasi navzgor in nato stran od glave in pri tem
odrežite naenkrat le majhno količino las.
Na isti način ostrižite tudi lase ob straneh in na zatilju (sl. 17, 18).
- Če si želite ob straneh in na zatiljukrajše lase, kot po vrhu glave,
spremenite na nižjo nastavitev in strižite lase proti smeri njihove
rasti.
Striženje čez glavnik ali prste
Če si želite lase ostriči na dolžino, ki bo daljša od 17 mm, lahko
uporabite metodo striženja “preko glavnika”.
- Odstranite nastavek v obliki glavnika (sl. 3).
- Z glavnikom dvignite naenkrat manjšo količino las (sl. 19) ali jih
zagrabite med dva prsta (sl. 20).
Premikajte glavnik ali prsta skozi lase, dokler ven ne gleda le
dolžina, ki jo želite odrezati.
- Odrežite lase, ki štrlijo iz glavnika ali prstov.
S tem postopkom nadaljujte od vrha glave proti zatilju. Ko
napredujte proti zatilju, boste verjetno dolžino las postopoma
krajšali. Preverjate dolžino postriženih las.
- Pogostokrat počešite lase, da odstranite odrezane lase in
preverite, ali jih strižete enakomerno.
Oblikovanje zunanje linije pričeske
- Počešite lase.
- Odstranite nastavek v obliki glavnika (sl. 3).
- Za enako dolžino las na vratu, strižite lase tako kot je prikazano na
sl. 21, držeč aparat v obrnjenem položaju, narahlo proti lasem.
Delajte prekrivajoče poteze navzdol, proti vratu (sl. 22).
- Po istem postopku nadaljujte s striženjem zalizcev (sl. 23).
- Za striženje las ob ušesih, naslonite kot rezila na lase. Pazite, da
bodo zobci rezila na varno razdalji od las (sl. 24).
Počasi in pazljivo oblikujte želeni zunanji rob pričeske (sl. 25).
Vojaška pričeska
(sl. 26)
- Počešite lase v njihovi naravni smeri.
- Izberite nastavitev dolžine 7 (maksimalna dolžina las). Postrižite
lase od zadnje strani vratu proti temenu (sl. 27).
- Postrižite lase ob straneh s prekrivajočimi potezami naravnost
navzgor (sl. 28), to je paralelno ob straneh glave. Držite nastavek s
ploskim delom proti glavi. Premikajte rezilo počasi skozi lase,
puščajoč lase po vrhu glave nedotaknjene.
- Če želite lahko vnovič postrižete lase na vratu in ob straneh, z
nižjo nastavitvijo dolžine (npr. 3 ali 4).
- Za ploski videz pričeske na vrhu glave, postrižite lase na vrhu glave
preko glavnika ali prstov (sl. 29, 30) z aparatom brez nastavka.

- Pričesko dokončajte z očrtanjem robov vratu in zalizcev. Glejte

Striženje na kratko

- Postrižite vrh glave (sl. 32). Začnite s čelnim delom in nadaljujte
proti temenu. Držite nastavek plosko proti glavi.
- Za linijo roba pričeske uporabite aparat brez nastavka.
