} – No children under age 17; not recommended
viewing for children under age 17.

8. Adult
} – Mature material; should be viewed only by
adults due to graphic sexual material, violence or
language.
DVDs that are rated higher than the level you have selected
will not play unless you enter your four-digit pin code.
Helpful hints:
– VCD, SVCD, CDs have no level indication, so parental control has no effect
on these type of discs. This also applies to most illegal DVDs.
– Some DVDs are not coded with a rating though the movie rating may be
printed on the disc cover. The rating level feature does not prohibit play of
such discs.
To change your password
1) Select { Parental Rating Level } and press OK .
You will be prompted to enter your four-digit pin code.
2) Use the numeric keypad 0-9 to enter your four-digit pin
code and select
OK
in the menu and press OK on the
remote control to confi rm.
The set rating level menu appears.
3) Select
New
in the menu and press OK to access new
password menu.
4) Use the numeric keypad 0-9 to enter your new four-digit
pin code, then press
T
to select the next entry fi eld and enter
the same pin code a second time.
5) Select
OK
in the menu and press OK to confi rm.
To abort the change, select
CANCEL
and press OK .
Digital Audio
Format
Adjust the digital output setting only if you have connected other
devices to the coaxial jack on the recorder.
1) Use
ST
keys to select one of the options.
{
All
} – Select this if you have used the COAXIAL
jack on the recorder to connect to a stereo
receiver that has a built in multichannel decoder.
{
LPCM
} – Select this if the connected audio equipment is
not capable of decoding multichannel audio
Dolby Digital and MPEG-2 multichannel signals
are converted to PCM (Pulse Code Modulation).
2) Press OK to confi rm your selection.
