Congratulations on your purchase of the Philex
AV Wireless AV System. This product has been
designed to allow an audio/video signal from
equipment such as DVD players, Digital TV
receivers, Satellite Receivers and VCRs to be both
watched and controlled in a different room with-
out the need for runs of cable or DIY!
The receiver can work within 30 metres of the
transmitter depending on the building structure
and has a built-in remote control sender allowing
you to control your equipment from a different
room. In the unlikely case of interference from
another wireless AV system nearby, you can
choose between four alternative operating
frequencies.
Before attempting to install the system, please
read through the instructions carefully ensuring
you understand the procedure and have all items
necessary.

If your house has a heavy metal construction
or is equipped with a PC network, it can
disturb the radio signal. Even moving
the units a few inches can improve the
performance. If this doesn’t work try to
move the TRANSMITTER and RECEIVER to
another place in the house. If you experience
problems, try placing the units away from
electrical appliances.
•
If you are still experiencing interference you
can try changing the wireless channel.
The channel switches are located in the base
of the transmitter and receiver. These both
have 4 settings 1-4, you can try all 4 settings
but always make sure that both transmitter
and receiver are set to the same number
setting.
•
If the picture on your second TV is not
correct, select “EXT” or “AV” on second TV,
and make sure that the video source is
switched on.
•
If the picture on your second TV is not
correct or there is no signal check the
channel switches located in the base of the
transmitter and receiver. These both have 4
settings 1 - 4, make sure that both are set to
the same number setting.

If you cannot control the video source from
your second TV when using a remote control,
reposition the IR Eye on the video source.
If you are having difficulty locating the IR
sensor window use the remote control to
help locate it. On some AV equipment the
sensor will flash when the remote control is
in use. Alternatively if the remote is
positioned touching the fascia and the
remote is switched on and off repeatedly
while it is being moved across the fascia it is
usually possible to narrow down the position
of the sensor window.
•
If your S-VHS video shows no colour pictures
(only black and white), select CVBS video
output format for your S-VHS VCR.
•
If your AV source gives no pictures on either
main or second TV, select CVBS video output
format for your DVD player (check the DVD
player’s user manual).
