3.2.1 System chassis SC 700
System chassis SC 700 contains the power supply pack, the internal system bus and the unit ventila-
tion. It provides plug-in positions for the plug-in modules QC 700, IS 716, HV 701, HV 702, IO 700 and
IO 720.

3.2.2 Quadrupole controller board QC 700
Quadrupole controller board QC 700 contains:
● QMG 700 system controller and LAN/USB interfaces to the PC
● Control of the HF stage
● Measurement signal processing
● Interface to CP 400

3.2.3 Ion source supply IS 716
The ion source supply IS 716 provides the ion source with the required operating voltage and has the
following properties:
● Short-circuit proof, programmable potentials
● Reversible polarity for positive and negative ions
● Normal operation / degas operation
● Suitable for all ion source types of analyzer QMA 4x0
