Procedure
1. Unscrew the venting screw.
2. Unscrew the filler screw.
– Be careful with the O-ring.
3. Continue to fill with coolant until the coolant begins to flow out of the overflow.
4. Screw in the venting screw.
5. Screw in the filler screw.
– Be careful with the O-ring.
7.7 Changing the gas ballast filter
The gas ballast filter is soiled if the vacuum pump takes in ambient air containing dust during gas ballast
operation. As the soiling increases, the throughput of the gas ballast filter decreases. The risk of con-
densation and corrosion in the vacuum pump increases.
