5 Setting up the Instrument

5.1

Unpacking and Installation

Notice how the instrument was packed upon arrival. If the instrument is to be transported, return

in original packaging.

It is important that all packing materials are saved. Be sure to remove

the transportation locks on the load cell before use.

Lift the instrument from the box using the

handles located on both sides of the foam packing material. Remove all tape and protective covers.

5.1.2

Removing transport locks

There are two built-in transport locks protecting the load cell. These must to be lowered to the
“operate” position before switching the instrument on. The instrument can be carried carefully
without using the transport locks. For shipping or transportation on carts or similar, return the

transport locks to the lock position

To disengage the transport locks, first put the instrument on its back and remove the catch drawer.
The red locks are indicated by the arrows in the picture on the following page.
