1. Place the wheelchair on a level surface and raise the seat lift for better
access. If the battery is completely dead, it is possible to manually raise
the seat lift using the screw at the front edge under the seat. Do not use
an electric drill. If there is a fixed seat bracket, remove the rear chassis
cover. Then remove the seat’s rear mounting screw and tip the seat for-
wards. See fig. 56.
Remove the front cover. This is fixed with two knobs on the sides and two
guide pins at the front. Lift the cover up and forwards.

2. Switch off the power supply using the ON/OFF key on the control panel
and set the automatic main fuse to the OFF setting.
