User’s Manual Permobil M5 Corpus

Transporting the wheelchair

General

The wheelchair may only be transported in vehicles approved for
this purpose.

Check that the wheelchair is properly secured and that the wheel
locks are engaged. When transporting the wheelchair in a vehicle,
the wheelchair must be locked into position by running tie-down
straps through the tie-down eyes at the front and rear, marked with
yellow stickers.

Secure the wheelchair according to the instructions from the
manufacturer of the vehicle restraint system. Always make sure that
the tie-down points in the transporting vehicle are well-anchored.

To make transporting the wheelchair easier, the backrest can be
removed or folded down in a few simple moves; see
