System Description

71

Introduction

The Avio 200 instrument consists of three major components: the spectrometer, the
ICP Source and the sample introduction system. Each component is further divided
into the different modules described below. This modular system design facilitates
system access, testing and servicing.

For the Avio 200, the two standard sample introduction systems are:

Baffled cyclonic spray chamber with a Meinhard K1 nebulizer

•

Scott spray chamber with a cross flow nebulizer

The spectrometer for the Avio 200 consists of the following modules:

Optics module

Spectrometer electronics module

•

Spectrometer pneumatics module

The ICP source for the Avio 200 consists of three modules:
