Meaning of the options

•

Cancel

No action is executed and the user exits the parameter.

•

Execute backup

A backup copy of the current device configuration in the HistoROM (built-in in

the device) is saved to the display module of the device.

•

Restore

The last backup copy of the device configuration is copied from the display

module to the HistoROM of the device.

•

Duplicate

The transmitter configuration is duplicated to another device using the

transmitter display module. The following parameters, which characterize the

individual measuring point are

not

included in the transmitted configuration:

medium type.

•

Compare

The device configuration saved in the display module is compared to the

current device configuration of the HistoROM. The result of this comparison is

displayed in the

Comparison result

parameter (page 145).

•

Clear backup data

The backup copy of the device configuration is deleted from the display module

of the device.

Note:

While this action is in progress, the configuration cannot be edited via the

local display and a message on the processing status appears on the display.

Note:

If an existing backup is restored to a different device using the

Restore

option, it may occur that some device functionalities are no longer available. In

some cases even a device reset will not restore the original status (page 147).
In order to transmit a configuration to a different device, the

Duplicate

option should

always be used.
