The following is a simplified block diagram of the 7807 PCIe carrier.

XMC Connectors
The XMC site on the carrier provides two XMC connectors, designated

and
J16
. These connectors follow the VITA 42.0 XMC Switched Mezzanine
Card Auxiliary Standard and VITA 42.3 XMC PCI Express Protocol Standard.

provides an x8 PCI Express link between the 71741 XMC module
and the 7807 PCIe bus. For 71741 Option 110 optical interface, the XMC
J15
MSDA
and
MSCL
signals are used for control signals, through a
Philips PCA9535 I/O Port, to the Samtec FireFly control connectors (
J26
and
J27

For 71741 Option 105 gigabit serial I/O,

provides separate data links
