Spot Metering

The brightness is measured only within a
limited area at the center of the
viewfinder. You can use this in
combination with the AE Lock (p.107)
when the subject is extremely small and
the correct exposure is difficult to obtain.

Center-weighted metering mode is automatically set even if you select multi-
segment metering mode when using a lens other than a DA, DA L, D FA, FA J,
FA, F or A lens, or when the lens aperture ring is set to a position other than
