1.
Description
Easyclick wall transmitters are a part of the Easyclick radio
system developed by PEHA. With pressing from a button of
the
batteryless
and
maintenance-free
wall transmitters
consumers can be switched wirelessly by the Easyclick
switching receivers. When the wall transmitter button is
pressed, a energy transducer is activated via a bow contact.
The mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy
when the button is pressed or released and used for
transmitting a radio signal. The radio signal contains the
unambiguous 32 bit ID of the transmitter and data for the
receiver. The radio transmission is at the European
harmonized frequency of 868.3 MHz.
At this frequency, only products that transmit 1% = 36 sec.
per hour are permitted. This reduces the risk of interference
to a minimum. The Easyclick radio system is particularly
suitable in areas where no repairs are required, such as
renovations, retrofitting electrical systems or offices with
mobile walls.
Refer to the operating instructions for the Easyclick switching receivers to learn
how to use the Easyclick wall transmitter.
The button functions are printed on the back of the wall transmitter unit.
That means
O
= OFF/UP and
I
= ON/DOWN for a two-button function.
2.
Mounting
The wall transmitters can be supple-
mented with 1-5 combination frames*
of the AURA program from PEHA.
They must be ordered separately.
If the surface is structured, create a
flat structure so that the central plate
will
not shift
when mounting.
Unevenness can cause malfunctions and the rocker switches to jam.
This applies in particular when mounting on rough walls.
Screws:
(please only use the enclosed screws)
- Use the central plate as a template to mark the drill holes.
- Drill 5 mm plug holes.
- Affix the central plate (the close snap-in projections of the central plate must be
positioned on the left and right to receive the wall sensor).
- Clip the frame and the wall transmitter onto the central plate.
Gluing:
The wall transmitters can be adhered to flat, smooth surfaces such as painted
walls, tiles, furniture, wood, etc. using the enclosed adhesive strips.
The adhesive strips should be glued into the upper and lower recess on the back
of the central plate for the mounting.
The two-sided adhesive film can be used to mount on glass walls. It completely
covers the rear of the wall transmitter. The adhesive film is first placed on the
assembled wall transmitter and then with the transmitter on the glass surface.
3. Ranges between transmitters and receivers
The range of the Easyclick radio signals decreases as the distance between
transmitter and receiver increases. The range between the transmitter and receiver
in a house is approx. 30m (line-of-sight connection) and 100m in halls.
The transmission range depends on the materials used in the building:
Limiting the range of the radio signals due to:
• Installing the transmitter or receiver in the immediate vicinity of materials with
metal constituents, or metal objects.
A distance of at least 10cm should be maintained.
• Installing the transmitter/receiver on the ground or at ground level.
• Moisture in the materials
• Devices, which also emit high frequency signals, such as e.g. computers, audio
and video equipment, electronic ballasts for illuminants. A distance of at least
0.5m should be maintained.
4. Error analysis in the case of radio interference
For a new or pre-existing system:
• Check the system voltage of the receiver.
• Check if the receiver is receiving a radio command.
• Check if the receiver is connected as specified.
• Check the operation of the connected consumers.
• Delete all transmitters in the receiver, and reprogramme the receiver.
• Check if any changes have been made around the system that could generate
problems (metal cabinets, walls or furniture has been moved, etc.). If possible,
restore things to their original status.
• Mount the transmitter or receiver at a better location.
The receiver independently turns ON and OFF:
• This can occur when an outside transmitter is activated within the receiver range
that was previously programmed in the receiver.
• Delete all transmitters in the receiver, and reprogramme the receiver.
A transmitter does not work:
• Take the transmitter and move toward the receiver. If the system still works at a
closer distance, the transmitter was installed outside of the transmission range,
or there was interference.
• Mount the transmitter or receiver at a better location.
5. Technical data
6. Safety instructions
The Easyclick-modules must
not
be used with devices, which could affect human
health or safety, or endanger humans, animals or material assets. The modules
may only be installed by authorised professionals. The power supply of the system
must be turned off during installation. The following points must be observed:
- the valid laws, standards and regulations
- the best available technology at the time of installation.
- the operating instructions for the Easyclick transmitters and receivers.
- the fact that operating instructions can only contain general guidelines and that
these must be considered in the context of a specific system.
7. Warranty
These operating instructions are an integral part of both the appliance and the
terms of warranty. They must be furnished to the user. The technical design of
the appliance is subject to change without prior notification.
PEHA products are manufactured using state of the art technologies in
compliance with prevailing national and international regulations, and are quality
tested.
If the product should, however, reveal any defects, PEHA agrees to correct
these defects without affecting the rights of the end user to assert claims against
the vendor arising from the purchasing contract, as follows:
If the complaint is justified and properly filed, PEHA can choose to either correct
the defect or supply a functioning product. Claims above and beyond this, or
compensation for follow-on damages are excluded.
The appliance is deemed to be justifiably defective when it is supplied to the
end user in an unusable or severely impaired state as a result of a design,
manufacturing or material error. The warranty does not apply to natural wear
and tear, improper use, incorrect connection, interference with the appliance
or external impacts. The warranty period runs for 24 months from the purchase
of the appliance by the end user from a vendor, and expires at the latest 36
months after manufacture of the appliance.
The settlement of warranty claims is subject to German law.
