Installation Instructions
Use plumber tape on all threaded connections.
DO NOT USE PIPE DOPE ON THREADS.
This tub spout is designed for either 1/2" or 3/4" standard pipe nipples.
1. Remove old tub spout by turning it counterclockwise exposing the
threaded end of pipe nipple.
2. Measure the distance that the pipe nipple extends from the finished wall
or tub. This dimension must be a minimum of 1/2" and not to exceed
3/4". Change nipple to obtain correct length if necessary. Use plumber
tape on threaded connection.
3. Turn the water on briefly to flush the water line.
4. Clean and dry the threads of the pipe nipple and wrap with plumber tape.
5. If diameter of pipe nipple is 3/4", remove the face bushing from the tub
spout and discard. For 1/2" diameter pipe nipple, remove the face bushing
and wrap plumber tape over the bushing threads. Reinstall bushing in
spout. Thread new tub spout clockwise onto pipe nipple (hand tight) until
snug against finished wall, being careful not to scratch the spout finish.
6. Attach the hand shower hose to the diverter spout outlet and hand tighten.
DO NOT USE PIPE DOPE ON THREADS.
NOTE: A small trickle of water from the tub spout is normal when the hand
shower is being used.

Use cinta plomero en todas las conexiones enroscadas.
NO USE COMPUESTO DE TUBERÍA EN LAS ROSCAS.
Este tubo de salida está diseñado para ambas entrerroscas de tuberías stándar de
1/2" o de 3/4".
1. Quite el tubo de salida viejo girándolo en sentido contrario a las manijas del reloj
exponiendo el extremo roscado de la entrerrosca de tubería.
2. Mida la distancia que extiende la entrerrosca de tubería desde la pared terminada o
bañera. Esta dimensión debe ser de un mínimo de 1/2" y no exceder 3/4". Cambie
la entrerrosca para obtener el largo correcto si es necesario. Use cinta plomero en
la conexión enroscada.
3. Abra el agua brevemenete para limpiar la línea del agua.
4. Limpie y seque las roscas de la enterrosca de tubería y envuelva con cinta plomero.
5. Si el diámetro de la entrerrosca de tubería es 3/4", quite la boquilla totalamente
roscada y descártela. Para entrerroscas de tubería de 1/2", quite la boquilla
totalmente roscada y envuelve cinta plomero sobre las roscas de la boquilla.
Instale otra vez la boquilla en el tubo de salida. Enrosque el tubo de salida nuevo
en sentido de las manijas del reloj en la entrerrosca de la tubería (apriete a mano)
hasta que quede ajustado contra la pared terminada, teniendo cuidado de no
rasguñar el acabado del tubo de salida.
6. Conecte la manguera de la regadera de mano al desviador del tubo de salida y
apriete a mano. NO USE COMPUESTO DE TUBERÍA EN LAS ROSCAS.
NOTA: Un pequeño goteo de agua del tubo de salida de la bañera es normal cuando
la regadera de mano está en uso.
