Operating Instructions
Pyrography is a process of using a heated metal tip to engrave on materials such as wood, cork, leather. Do not attempt
to use the wood burning pen on materials likely to melt (plastic, imitation leather ...).
Prepare the object by using fine sandpaper to sand down the surface. Make the drawing in pencil. Connect power and
wait for the tool to heat up on it’s stand. Hold the tool like a pen. Begin to engrave following pencil lines.
Use pliers to change into different tips for different engraving effects.
Let the wood burning pen cool down completely on the stand after use.

First steps:
•
Insert soldering tip to wood burning pen.
•
Bend the stand according to the bending instructions.
•
Place the wood burning pen on the stand.
•
Connect the plug of the wood burner pen into the socket.
•
Make sure that there are no combustible objects in the vicinity of the wood burning pen.
•
Check that the local mains voltage corresponds to the nominal mains voltage rating of the unit.
•
Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
•
Switch on the unit.
•
Adjust the required temperature with the potentiometer knob.
Bending instructions: Bend opens the inner piece of the stand by approx. 90°.

Warning notices:

Connect the device only to a grid voltage as indicated on the type plate.

Always place the wood burning pen on the stand.

Switch off the unit when exchanging tips.

Always switch off the device when leaving the work place, never leave the wood burning pen unattended (danger of
fire!).

Keep the wood burning pen out of reach of children (danger of severe burning!).
•
Never let unauthorised person in the reach of the device.
•
Explain children all possible danger (burning).
•
Use the wood burning pen only appropriate.
•
When working at the device always pull off the mains plug.
•
Use the device only in dry inside places.
•
Remember the danger of the high temperatures of the wood burning pen, please work carefully.
•
Do not use this device near inflammable materials.
•
Always provide adequate ventilation at the working place.
•
Repairs at the device may only be carried out by electronic professionals who are familiar with involved risks
respectively with relevant rules (VDE-0100, VDE-0701 and VDE-0683).
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
Children should not use the iron unless a grown-up is supervising.
Warning!
Children younger than 14 should not handle this tool as the tip get very hot. Anyhow the iron is to
be used under supervision of an adult.
