8.2

Prepare Hardware

For a firmware upload via CAN, the CAN bootloader must be
activated in the PCAN-Router Pro via the rotary switch on the board.
When using the standard firmware, you can continue directly with
chapter 8.3 on page 51.

Do the following to set the rotary switch:

Attention!

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage or destroy

components on the circuit board of the PCAN-Router Pro. Take
precautions to avoid ESD when handling the circuit board.

1.

Unscrew the four screws at the upper corners of the
housing on the front and back.

2.

Remove the housing cover.

3.

Find the rotary switch on the board with the help of the
following figure:

4.

Turn the

ID

rotary switch on the board to position F. Use a

slotted screwdriver, for example.
