6.2
Groove depth measurement
1.
Connect the DSH probe and turn on the meter. (chapter 4.2)
2.
Before the measurement, make a zero-point calibration. (chapter 6.1)
3.
Place the probe vertically on the groove, applying some pressure and remove it when
you hear the beep sound. The measured value will now be displayed.
4.
Before making another measurement, lift the DSH probe up in the air until the probe
name is no longer highlighted in black, which means that the meter is properly adjusted.
6.3
Roughness measurement
1.
Connect the DSH probe and turn on the meter. (chapter 4.2)
2.
Before the measurement, make a zero-point calibration. (chapter 6.1)
3.
Enter mean value mode. (chapter 4.3.2)
4.
Place the probe vertically on the surface to be measured, applying some pressure and
remove it when you hear the beep sound. The measured value will then be displayed.
5.
At least 10 values must be measured in different positions on the surface. Before
making another measurement, lift the DSH probe up in the air until the probe name is no
longer highlighted in black, which means that the meter is properly adjusted. This must
be done 10 times.
6.
After making 10 measurements, the mean value will be the most exact roughness value
as possible.
