• Operation
Applying power
Once the CL1300MDE is properly configured and installed, it operates transparently.
Do the following to apply power to the CL1300MDE:
•
AC power supply: Plug it into the outlet that has the ground wire connected to it
•
DC power source: Power up the DC power source
The CL1300MDE activates when power is applied from an AC or DC source. Go to section

Status LEDs
Front panel LEDs indicate the status of power, CopperLink, and Ethernet connections (see

1 on page 5).
The following sections describe power-up, reading the LED status monitors, and using the built-in loopback
test modes.
