Cantinola Touch 2016 operating and maintenance manual
2) boiler water temperature,
3) room temperature (if an external thermostat is installed),
do not exceed the default levels. If one or more of these circumstances happen, the boiler
starts in the "MODULATION" phase.
MODULATION OPERATING STATUS
From the NORMAL phase, the system turns into the "MODULATION" status with the message
"MODULATION" on the display. In this phase, the flame is at its minimum (pilot flame), in
order to reduce the combustion as much as possible and avoid a safety alarm status.
When one of the three factors causing the boiler to start the modulation phase ceases, the
system comes back to the normal operation with a variable combustion power, according to
the difference between the residual temperature of water in the boiler and the temperature set
for the boiler.
The function goes on alternating the NORMAL operation phase (with a variable combustion
power) to the modulation phase (at minimum power).
In this phase, the boiler does not turn off, but power is always at minimum level. Under some
circumstances, this could cause the temperature to raise over the set level, up to the limit of
90°C. In this case, contact a technician to adjust the fuel supply or the operation phases.
SWITCH OFF
It is the function for turning off the boiler by pressing the on/off button or through the Chrono
function. This phase will last until the smoke probe gets completely cooled.
The automatic switch off could be in 3 cases:
- due to a failed ignition
- lack of fuel
- due to a safety reason
In these cases, following the shutdown, the boiler will turn in BLOCK status, with an error
message as specified in the " Troubleshooting " section.
FURTHER PHASES
In some circumstances, you may have the following function phases:
1)
POWER RECOVERY
2)
SAFETY
3)
BLOCK
1)
POWER RECOVERY when
:
_ a gap of 1 -5 minutes of lack of power occurs
_ in standby state output (if enabled).
