The combustion air intake can also be realised in a room next to the installation room, but air
must be free to flow through permanent openings, connected to the outside and having the
same features as those above described. In this case, the room cannot be used as a garage,
storage of combustion materials or for any other activity implying a fire risk.
Keep in mind that draught cannot be weakened by kitchen extractor hoods, blown air heating
systems, staircase aspiration, etc.
CONNECTION TO THE HEATING SYSTEM
The right type of the boiler to use as well as the choice of the heating system to make is a
decision of the designer and/or installer.
It is recommended that the unit is connected to the system through three pieces fitting so that
it can be removed without causing disruptions in the event of malfunctions, especially on
the return connection, it may be convenient to install a full stop T key to drain the system for
the maintenance. For a proper operation we suggest to use a mixing valve set to 55° C for
regulating both the system’s temperature and boiler’s, in order to increase the water return
temperature to the boiler, safeguarding frames from dangerous temperature fluctuations due
to condensation in the pipes for smoking.
