4. OPERATING PROCEDURES
This chapter contains abbreviated, step-by-step procedures for NanoPlus operations. Detailed
information for the commands used in these procedures are located in Chapter 3.
If in a Security mode, some of the procedures contained in this chapter cannot be
performed by a User assigned at the Operator level.
Specifying the SOP Designer Display Mode
The details that display for the SOP Designer parameters depend on the mode you select from the
Display menu:
• Normal mode displays the parameters that must be configured to perform a measurement
• Advanced mode displays all parameters
Working with SOPs
This section describes how to create, copy, and delete SOPs, and how to edit SOP names.
Creating SOPs
1. Select your user name in the SOP Listing
2. Click New from the Task options (blue-shaded section); a new, blank SOP is created under
the user name. Alternatively, you can right-click on your user name and select New .
3. Enter a name for the SOP.
4. Add the required parameters; this can be done two different ways:
• Drag and drop the desired conditions from their respective panels into the new SOP in the
SOP Listing.
• Select the SOP, then select the desired condition. Click Add to SOP from the Task options,
or right-click and select Add to SOP .
You must include all four parameter types in a new SOP.
