troller at the factory, this normally-open switch is held closed when the controller box is shut and
locked.
When the box is opened, the switch breaks contact and a controller-cache message is generated
within ACS-1E or ACS-1EUL memory. (This can be viewed by selecting
Audit Trail
when ACS Enterprise is
connected to the Controller, or by selecting
View Reports
under the Site Management screen in ACS
Enterprise when not connected to the controller.)
The Controller Box Tamper function can activate any combination of Output relays when the cus-
tomer requires an Alarm Panel indication.
2.6 Door Override Input Alert (Optional)
The Door Override Input Alert is generated when the Normally-Closed Door Override Input is opened.
When this function is called, the Door-Control relay(s) for both the Controller and optional Second
Card Reader Board will be activated and all doors under relay control will be opened. The Card
Reader LED indicator will simultaneously glow green.
The Door Override Input is inactive with a wire-jumper from the factory by default.
Note:
If the Door Control relays appear active and remain active during initial startup tests, check
the factory-installed jumper connection.
