Appendix B – Maintenance and
Troubleshooting
This appendix describes any maintenance or troubleshooting activities for the WSN
Gateway
devices.
Troubleshooting
Ensure there are two open ports for each WSN Gateway installation. Installation
and testing cannot begin without these address and port assignments.
Port 80 = Configuration via the WSN Gateway’s internal registers.
Port 10001 = Data received from SynapSense wireless sensors.
Network Subnet Mask
The network subnet mask is no longer in “dot notation” (for example 255.255.255.0). It is
now in “slash notation” (for example /24). The chart below shows both types of notation.
The CIDR Prefix is the new way the Subnet Mask is represented in the WSN Gateway.
The most common notation value is /24.
