Installations/Connections
Before installation, prepare the following
There are 4 methods to install the camera to a ceiling or wall as described below. Prepare the required devices and cables
for each installation method before starting the installation.
<Installing the camera to a ceiling that has adequate structural strength>
Use the camera mount bracket (accessory).
• Procure 4 screws (M4) to secure the camera mount bracket (accessory).
• Select screws according to the material of the ceiling that the camera will be mounted to.
• The minimum required pull-out capacity of a single screw is 196 N {44 lbf} or more.
• When mounting the camera on a concrete ceiling, use an AY plug bolt (M4) for securing.
(Recommended tightening torque: 1.6 N·m {1.18 lbf·ft})
<Installing the camera to a ceiling that has inadequate structural strength such as plaster board ceiling>
The area of the ceiling that the camera will be installed to must be sufficiently reinforced, or the optional ceiling mount
bracket for the camera (WV-Q105, weight approx. 0.15 k
g
{0.33 lbs}) must be used.
• When using the ceiling mount bracket (WV-Q105), prepare 2 anchor bolts (M10) to secure the bracket to a roof space
(including 1 for securing the safety wire).
• The minimum required pull-out capacity of a single screw or anchor bolt is 5 times or more of the total weight of the
camera and all of its parts.
• Existing anchor bolts can be used to secure the safety wire to a ceiling. If existing anchor bolts are used, there may not
be enough supplied nuts to be used with all the anchor bolts. In this case, procure the required nuts separately.
<Installing the camera embedded to a ceiling that has inadequate structural strength such as plaster board ceiling>
The area of the ceiling that the camera will be installed to must be sufficiently reinforced, or the optional ceiling embedding
bracket for the camera (WV-Q126A, weight approx. 1.2 k
g
{2.65 lbs}) must be used.
• When using the ceiling embedding bracket (WV-Q126A), prepare 2 anchor bolts (M10) to secure the bracket to a roof
space (including 1 for securing the safety wire).
<Installing the camera to a wall>
Use the wall mount bracket (WV-Q119, weight approx. 0.65 k
g
{1.43 lbs}).
• Procure 4 screws (M4) to secure the wall mount bracket (WV-Q119) to the wall.
• Select screws according to the material of the wall that the camera will be mounted to.
• The minimum required pull-out capacity of a single screw or anchor bolt is 196 N {44 lbf} or more.
When installing the camera using the ceiling mount bracket, the ceiling embedding bracket, or the wall mount bracket,
refer to the instructions included with those optional accessories.
Caution:
• A READILY ACCESSIBLE DISCONNECT DEVICE SHALL BE INCORPORATED TO THE EQUIPMENT POWERED BY
