Error indications relating to SMTP
Category Indication Description
POP3 server error Authentication error. •
Entered user name or password may be
incorrect. Check if the E-mail settings are
configured correctly.
Failed to find the POP3 server. •
The IP address of the server may be
incorrect. Check if the IP address of the
server is configured correctly.

network administrator.
SMTP server error Authentication error. •

Failed to resolve the E-mail server
address from DNS. •
The designated IP address of the DNS
