10.1.7. Service Mode 7 (LBP Service Mode)

This Service Mode is used to change printer parameters and verify printer information.
Use the following procedure to change printer parameter.

Standby

Press “FUNCTION” and then “7”.

Press “MONITOR” four times, then press “*”.

Enter the key operator password (The factory default ID is 00000000.) and press
"Set".

Press “7”.

Press "START" for printer parameter settings.
Press "2" and "START" to get the printer information.
Ex: Enter "START" for printer parameter settings.

7

Press “START” for LBP fuser parameter reset.
Press “2” and “START“ for DRUM counters clear.
Ex: Enter "2" and "START" for DRUM counters clear.

Press "1".

Repeat step 6 through 8 to request operation, or press "STOP" twice to return to
standby.

LBP FUSER RESET

Implement when you clear the error information of the fixed connection.
(Reboot after implementation)
When an error (Information Codes;021) of the fixed connection occurs,
error information is saved to memory and is not retrieved even if you
switch power OFF/ON.
After you have solved the cause of the error, implement this reset pro-
cess and then reboot.
The toner sensor then returns to standby mode.

CLEAR DRUM COUNTERS

Clear the counter which is related to drum lifetime.
Usually, when replacing with a new drum, the lifetime counter will auto-
matically reset but if at that time there is a power failure or other such
cause, the counter will not be reset and the error relating to the drum will
not be cleared.
In such case, carry out this process to clear the counter.

The number of printed sheet is counted in order to measure drum life-
time. Here you can confirm the count value.

The paddle is counted in order to measure drum lifetime.
Here you can confirm the count value.
(The paddle is located on the toner sensor part of the mixing paddle.)
