• This unit is for indoor use.
• Do not use or leave where the temperature is extremely high such as in locations exposed to direct
sunlight or near heating devices.
• Do not use or leave in locations with a lot of dust.
• Do not use or leave in locations with a lot of vibration.
• Do not use or leave in locations with a lot of moisture, such as bathrooms.

Handling
• Do not drop, hit, or apply strong shocks. This may cause malfunction.
• Sound may be interrupted or you may hear noise if the plug tip is dirty. If this occurs, wipe the tips of
the plug and plug adaptor clean with a soft dry cloth.
• When connected with the audio cable (supplied)
– This unit is for use with stereo AV devices.
– Sound is not output from the right side (R) if used with monaural devices.
• If the USB cable has excess length, coil it up to an appropriate length on the USB plug side before use.
Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the
check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, refer to
“Customer Services Directory” on the front page if you reside in the U.S.A., or refer to
“CONTACT INFORMATION” on the front page if you reside in Canada.
The unit does not work.
• Make sure the USB cable is firmly connected to the USB port of each device or the AC adaptor
(optional).
• Make sure the USB port is normal. If there are other USB ports on your computer, try using one
of the other USB ports.
• If the power still does not come on even after performing the above, unplug the USB cable and
then plug it in again.
There is no sound.
• The USB port or plug may be dirty. Wipe the USB port and plug clean with a soft dry cloth.
• The sound may have been muted or turned down low on the connected device. Adjust the
volume on the connected device.
• Make sure that “SC-GN01” is selected as the audio output device on the connected device.
The sound is low.
• Also increase the volume on the other devices as well as this unit.
• You may have connected to a USB2.0 port. Connect to a USB3.0 port.
There are interruptions to the sound. / Too much noise. / Poor sound quality.
• Make sure the USB port is normal. If there are other USB ports on your computer, try using one
of the other USB ports.
• There may be a USB hub between the unit and the computer. If there are other USB ports on
your computer, try using one of the other USB ports.
• You may be trying to supply power from the USB port of a device which is the same as the
input and output of analogue audio signals or another device that is connected by some kind of
wiring. Supply power with a USB AC adaptor, etc..
Cannot operate the unit.
• Try unplugging the USB cable and then plugging it in again.
There is no surround effect.
• Make sure that “Panasonic SC-GN01 (Game)” is selected as the sound device on your PC.
No output of chat audio.
• Make sure that “Panasonic SC-GN01 (Chat)” is selected as audio output device on your game,
chat app, or meeting app, etc.
Poor sound quality for chat audio.
• Turn off the noise cancelling functions in the apps you are using for chat or meetings, then try again.
Low volume for chat audio.
• Also increase the volume on the other devices as well as this unit.
No output of analogue audio.
• Check whether there is a problem with the headphone jack or analogue output terminal on the
device you are using. Use a pair of earphones or headphones to check whether audio is being
output correctly, then try again.
This unit is not detected when connected with the USB cable.
• Try restarting the connected device.
An opening sound is made while the USB cable is connected.
• Due to its specifications, the connected device may temporarily stop supplying power via USB.
When this occurs, this unit may turn off and then on, but it is not a malfunction.
Cannot raise the output when in the mode for adjusting speaker balance or the mode for
adjusting audio output.
• This unit has a function that activates a control mechanism that suppresses the output when
the volume is high. This is not a malfunction. Before making adjustments, lower the volume.

Press and hold the [SOUND] and [MUTE] buttons for about 5 seconds or more.
• An operation tone is made and the unit is in the factory settings mode.
• When the unit enters the factory settings mode, the operation indicator blinks once every
second.

Press the [MIC MUTE] button while the unit is in the factory settings mode.
• The settings are each initialised, returning to the factory settings.

• Cet appareil est conçu pour une utilisation à l'intérieur.
• Ne pas l'utiliser ou le laisser là où la température est extrêmement élevée comme un endroit exposé
directement au soleil ou près d'une source de chaleur.
• Ne pas l'utiliser ou le laisser dans des endroits très poussiéreux.
• Ne pas l'utiliser ou le laisser dans des endroits soumis aux vibrations.
• Ne pas l'utiliser ou le laisser dans des endroits très humides, comme une salle de bains.

Manipulation
• Ne pas laisser tomber, heurter ou soumettre à des chocs violents. Cela pourrait entraîner un mauvais
fonctionnement.
• Le son peut être coupé ou des parasites être audibles si la pointe de la fiche est sale. Si cela se
produit, essuyer la pointe de la fiche et celle de l’adaptateur avec un chiffon doux et sec.
• Lorsque le câble audio (fourni) est branché
– Cet appareil doit être utilisé avec des dispositifs AV stéréo.
– Avec des dispositifs monophoniques, le son du côté droit (D) n'est pas reproduit.
• Si le câble USB est trop long, enrouler le côté de la fiche USB jusqu’à atteindre la bonne longueur
avant de l’utiliser.
Avant d’appeler un centre de service, faire les vérifications décrites ci-dessous. En cas de doute
sur certains des points de vérification, ou si les solutions proposées ne résolvent pas le
problème rencontré, consulter la section “DEMANDE DE RENSEIGNEMENTS” à la page avant.
L'appareil ne fonctionne pas.
• S'assurer que le câble USB est correctement branché au port USB de chaque dispositif ou de
l'adaptateur secteur (en option).
• S’assurer que le port USB fonctionne normalement. S'il y a d'autres ports USB sur l'ordinateur,
essayer d'utiliser l'un de ceux-là.
• Si l’appareil ne se met toujours pas en marche après avoir effectué ce qui précède, débrancher
le câble USB puis le rebrancher.
Aucun son n'est produit.
• Le port USB ou la fiche peuvent être sales. Essuyer le port USB et nettoyer la fiche avec un
chiffon doux et sec.
• Le son peut avoir été mis en sourdine ou complètement baissé sur le dispositif branché. Régler
le volume sur le dispositif branché.
• S’assurer que “SC-GN01” est sélectionné en tant que sortie audio sur le dispositif branché.
Le son est faible.
• Augmenter le volume des autres dispositifs ainsi que celui de cet appareil.
• Le dispositif est peut-être branché à un port USB2.0. Le brancher à un port USB3.0.
Il y a des interruptions du son. / Trop de bruit. / Mauvaise qualité du son.
• S’assurer que le port USB fonctionne normalement. S'il y a d'autres ports USB sur l'ordinateur,
essayer d'utiliser l'un de ceux-là.
• Un concentrateur USB est peut-être présent entre l’appareil et l’ordinateur. S'il y a d'autres
ports USB sur l'ordinateur, essayer d'utiliser l'un de ceux-là.
• Il est possible que l’appareil soit alimenté avec le port USB d'un dispositif qui correspond à
l'entrée et la sortie de signaux audio analogiques ou d'un autre dispositif branché par un
câblage. Alimenter l’appareil avec un adaptateur secteur USB, etc.
Impossible de faire fonctionner l’appareil.
• Essayer de débrancher puis de rebrancher le câble USB.
Il n’y a pas d’effet ambiophonique.
• S’assurer que “Panasonic SC-GN01 (Game)” est sélectionné en tant que dispositif audio sur le
PC.
Pas de sortie de son lors d'un clavardage.
• S’assurer que “Panasonic SC-GN01 (Chat)” est sélectionné en tant que dispositif de sortie
audio sur le jeu, l'application de clavardage ou de réunion, etc.
Mauvaise qualité du son lors d'un clavardage.
• Désactiver les fonctions de réduction de bruit dans les applications utilisées pour le clavardage ou les
réunions, puis réessayer.
Le volume du clavardage audio est bas.
• Augmenter le volume des autres dispositifs ainsi que celui de cet appareil.
Pas de sortie de son analogique.
• Vérifier s’il y a un problème avec la prise de casque ou la prise de sortie analogique du
dispositif utilisé. Utiliser des écouteurs ou un casque pour vérifier que l’audio est émis
correctement, puis réessayer.
Cet appareil n'est pas détecté lorsqu’il est branché avec le câble USB.
• Essayer de redémarrer le dispositif branché.
Un son d'ouverture est émis alors que le câble USB est branché.
• En raison de ses caractéristiques, le dispositif connecté peut temporairement interrompre
l’alimentation par câble USB. Lorsque cela se produit, l’appareil peut se mettre hors marche
puis en marche mais il ne s’agit pas d'un dysfonctionnement.
Impossible d'augmenter la reproduction sonore en mode de réglage de l'équilibre des
haut-parleurs ou en mode de réglage de la sortie audio.
• Cet appareil est muni d’une fonction qui active un mécanisme de contrôle qui supprime la
reproduction sonore lorsque le volume est trop élevé. Il ne s'agit pas d'un dysfonctionnement.
Avant d’effectuer les réglages, baisser le volume.

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or
workmanship, Panasonic Corporation of North America (referred to as “the
warrantor”) will, for the length of the period indicated on the chart below,
which starts with the date of original purchase (“warranty period”), at its
option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b)
replace it with a new or a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c)
refund your purchase price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be
made by the warrantor.
During the “Labor” warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During
the “Parts” warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. This Limited
Warranty excludes both parts and labor for non-rechargeable batteries,
antennas, and cosmetic parts (cabinet). This warranty only applies to
products purchased and serviced in the United States. This warranty is
extended only to the original purchaser of a new product which was not
sold “as is”.

packed well in a carton box. When shipping Lithium Ion batteries please

the most up to date information. Include a letter detailing the complaint, a
return address and provide a daytime phone number where you can be
reached. A valid registered receipt is required under the Limited Warranty.
IF REPAIR IS NEEDED DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE
PURCHASER WILL BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH A SALES RECEIPT/
PROOF OF PURCHASE INDICATING DATE OF PURCHASE, AMOUNT

Limited Warranty Limits and Exclusions
This warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or
workmanship, and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic
damage. The warranty ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which
occurred in shipment, or failures which are caused by products not
supplied by the warrantor, or failures which result from accidents, misuse,
abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation,
set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper
maintenance, power line surge, lightning damage, modification,
introduction of sand, humidity or liquids, commercial use such as hotel,
office, restaurant, or other business or rental use of the product, or service
by anyone other than a Factory Service Center or other Authorized
Servicer, or damage that is attributable to acts of God.
THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED UNDER
“LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE”.
THE WARRANTOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS
PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY.

PANASONIC PRODUCT – LIMITED WARRANTY
EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Panasonic Canada Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in
material and workmanship under normal use and for a period as stated
below from the date of original purchase agrees to, at its option either (a)
repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace it with a new
or a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your purchase
price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by Panasonic
Canada Inc.
This warranty is given only to the original purchaser, or the person for
whom it was purchased as a gift, of a Panasonic brand product mentioned
above sold by an authorized Panasonic dealer in Canada and purchased
and used in Canada, which product was not sold “as is”, and which product
was delivered to you in new condition in the original packaging.

agréé ou encore d’une catastrophe naturelle.
