2-1 Features
This device is a communication module that connects the light curtain to a PC.
You can configure settings for various functions of the light curtain using the " Configurator
Light Curtain " software tool ("software tool" below).
You can also check and change the settings of various functions (muting, blanking, etc.), and
monitor the amount of received light.

By combining this device with a PC, you can configure settings for various functions of the light
curtain using the software tool.
For details, refer to "Chapter 4 Software Tool" .
The settings of various functions of the light curtain can be checked and changed, and opera -
tion can be monitored.

Initialization
When using the device as a standalone unit, you can copy functions set in the light curtain and
initialize the device.
Copy functions
These functions are used to read in light curtain settings and write the settings to a different light
curtain.
● READ
This function reads in light curtain settings and log data, and saves the information in the de-
vice's memory.
● WRITE
This function writes settings saved in the device to a light curtain.
Saved data initialization function
This function initializes the settings and log data that are saved in the device.
