Objective
The newly introduced High Definition Projection Televisions, P9 Series,
accommodate the 480i, 480p, and the 1080i Digital TV formats. They also
function as complete NTSC TV receivers. Some of the models contain a digital
tuner that allows the reception of digital TV broadcast as well as digital cable
television, eliminating the use of a Set Top Box. Furthermore the digital tuner
incorporates the OpenCable technology that interfaces between the cable
service provider and the customer for subscription purposes. The High End
models contain a PhotoViewer
TM
that allows the viewing of digital pictures taken
with a digital camera.
The information provided in this document is designed to assist the technician in
determining the defective component or board while performing repair. The
troubleshooting flowcharts, signal path diagrams and connector information
should provide enough detail so that the technician can accurately determine
which component or board is required to repair the product.
