When EDM output is connected in series, the maximum No. of connectable axes is limited because the collector
saturation voltage of the built-in photocoupler Vce (sat) is approx. 1 V. This Vce (sat) value varies depending on
the collector current.
Because approx. 5 mA flows into each circuit during SF input, the current is increased proportionally as the
number of axes connected is increased. It is necessary to limit the number of axes connected so that the current
does not exceed the maximum output current at the safety controller side.
