3 Troubleshooting Guide

CONDITION

CHECKPOINT

METHOD OF INSPECTION

CAUSE / REMEDY

Motor does not rotate.

Power supply cord

Check power supply cord continu-
ity. Check cord reel U electrical con-
tinuity.

If there is no continuity, replace
cord reel U.

Fuse (250V, 10A)
 (above PCB)

Check for fuse meltdown.
Visual meltdown inspection:

• Investigate the cause of the

meltdown

1. Burnt-out motor, coil short

circuit

2. Lead wire short circuit (short)
3. Burnt printed circuit board

(PCB)

If there has been a meltdown,
remove the problem fuse and
replace the PCB AU.

Motor unit

Check electrical continuity between
motor unit terminals.

If there is no electrical continuity,
replace the motor unit.

ON/OFF switch

Turn the switch on and off to check
electrical continuity

If there is any abnormality, replace
the PCB AU.

Printed circuit board (PCB) AU

Check that there are no internal
part abnormalities (burnt, melted,
split, etc.).

If there is any abnormality, replace
the PCB AU.

Triac
(inside the printed circuit board AU)

Perform the following examination
and check the triac.

If there is any abnormality, replace
the PCB AU.

Motor runs, but there is no suction. Paper dust bag, dust box, second-

ary filter

Check if the paper dust bag or the
dust box is full of waste.
Is there some blockage in the sec-
ondary filter?

If the paper dust bag is full, replace
it with a new one.
If the dust box or the secondary fil-
ter is full of waste or there is a
waste blockage, throw out the
waste and clean.

Hose, extension wand, floor nozzle Check if there are any blockages.

If there is a blockage, remove it.

Excessive vibration, excessive
noise

Motor unit

Check if dust has accumulated in
the motor unit.
(Dust and waste can enter the
motor unit if there is no secondary
filter.)

Check for dust and waste in the
motor unit, as well as the condition
of the filter, and replace if neces-
sary.

Motor power (suction power) does
not change.

Printed control board (PCB) AU

Turn the power control knob and
check if the suction power can be
changed.

If there is any abnormality, replace
the PCB AU.
