Installer Equipment and Software Requirements

The installer must have a laptop computer or data terminal equipped with terminal emulation 
software. We suggest that you use something like HyperTerminal by HILGRAEVE. Use the 
computer to program the VPS. Terminal emulation software enables the keyboard to be used 
as a data entry device.

While both the laptop and data terminal are working, the laptop allows screens to be saved in 
a file throughout the process. It is often helpful to retrieve these files later if technical support 
is needed.
