First-time Operation

Replace Step

Add the following to “For Canada”.

Turn your computer on and run the Setup Utility.

Slide the power switch and hold it for approximately one second until the power indicator turns on before releasing it.

Press
F2
while [Panasonic] boot screen is displayed soon after computer begins the startup procedure.

Press
F9
. At the confirmation message, select [Yes] and press
Enter
.

Select the [Advanced] menu, then set [GPS] to [Disable]. (If there is a [Wireless Modem] or [CDMA], also set them to
[Disable].)

Press
F10
. At the confirmation message, select [Yes] and press
Enter
.
The computer will restart.
CAUTION
Do not slide the power switch and hold it for more than four seconds; this will cause the power to be turned off
forcibly.
Do not slide the power switch repeatedly.
Once the computer is powered off, you must wait at least ten seconds before powering it on again.
Windows 2000
Perform the following after setting up Windows.

Select [Start]-[Run] and input “c:\util\gps\skipenum.reg”, then select [OK].

Select [Yes] and select [OK].

Restart the computer as follows:
Select [Start] - [Shut Down], and select [Restart], then select [OK].

F2
