DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW Drive
Turning off automatically after a preset time has elapsed
(Optical Disc Drive Power-Saving Utility)
[Auto Off Setting] of this utility automatically turns the drive power off after the DVD-ROM &
CD-R/RW drive power has been turned on, or after a disk has been removed from the DVD-
ROM & CD-R/RW drive, if a certain period of time passes during which a disk is not set in the
drive.
This utility starts up when computer is started, and the
icon or the icon
appears
on
the notification area.

At the time of purchase, this period is set at 3 minutes.
z
To turn the power on again after it has turned off:
Refer to the procedure in "Turning on or off immediately." (
z
To close the Optical Disc Drive Power-Saving Utility, click the
icon or the
icon
and then click [Exit].
To restart this utility, click [start] - [All Programs] - [Panasonic] - [Optical Disc Drive Power-
Saving Utility], or restart the computer.
z
When the cursor is placed over the
icon or the
icon, pop-up text will indicate the
drive status and the setting time.
Change the time until the power turns off

Select the
icon or
the
icon on the notification area.

Select the desired time in [Auto Off Setting].

There is a checkmark in the current settings.
z
Click [Disable] to deactivate the [Auto Off Setting].
NOTE

In the following cases, the drive power will not turn off even after the time set in [Auto
Off Setting].
• When a disk formatted using B's CLiP has been set (when the
icon is displayed
in the notification area)
