Chapter 4 Shooting — Setting the high dynamic range (HDR)
Recording to the external input signal of high dynamic range (HDR)
Detects the high dynamic range information of the external input signal and sets as follows.
r When the high dynamic range information is the high dynamic range
f External input signal is recorded directly in high dynamic range (hybrid log gamma).
f <SDI OUT1> terminal: External input signal is output directly in high dynamic range (hybrid log gamma).
f <SDI OUT2> terminal: When the main menu → [I/F SETUP] → [OUTPUT SEL] → [SDI OUT2 HDR] is set to [ON], external input signal is output
directly in high dynamic range (hybrid log gamma).
When the main menu
→ [I/F SETUP] → [OUTPUT SEL] → [SDI OUT2 HDR] is set to [OFF], the external input signal is converted to standard dynamic
range (monitoring gamma) for output.
When changing the setting of [SDI OUT2 HDR], set the main menu
→ [PAINT] → [GAMMA] → [GAMMA MODE SEL] to [HLG].
f <HDMI OUT> terminal, <VIDEO OUT> terminal, viewfinder and LCD monitor: Converts an external input signal to the monitoring gamma for output.
f [HLG] is displayed for the gamma mode display on the viewfinder and LCD monitor screen.
r When the high dynamic range information is the standard dynamic range or there is no high dynamic range information
f External input signal is directly recorded.
High dynamic range information is recorded as standard dynamic range.
f <SDI OUT1> terminal, <SDI OUT2> terminal, <HDMI OUT> terminal, <VIDEO OUT> terminal, viewfinder, LCD monitor: Outputs external input signal
directly.
f Gamma mode display is not displayed on the viewfinder and LCD monitor screen.

t Records and outputs in BT.2020 when the color information of the external input signal is BT.2020.
t Recording will continue with information at the start of recording even if the external input signal information is changed during recording.
t The <USER> button to which [VF/LCD HLG] is assigned becomes invalid.
