Chapter 2. Installation

2.1

Installation Guidelines

This section provides general information with respect to the mechanical and electrical installation, and should be

thoroughly reviewed before the system is installed. To ensure safe and reliable operation of the

Sentinel LNG

, the

system must be installed in accordance with the guidelines established by Panametrics Sensing, as explained in this

chapter.

WARNING!

The Sentinel LNG Ultrasonic Liquid Flow Transmitter measures the flow rate of hazardous fluids. The

importance of proper safety practices cannot be overemphasized.
So be sure to follow all applicable local safety codes and regulations for installing electrical

equipment and working with hazardous liquids or flow conditions. Consult company safety personnel

or local safety authorities to verify the safety of any procedure or practice.

To meet CE Mark requirements, all cables must be installed as described in Appendix B,
