2.1.10 Installing the PDJ Pipe Damping Jacket

If the pipe temperature is over 150°F, you must use a pipe damping jacket with preapplied DMP-3. The jacket is 

available in standard pipe sizes (see Table 2-2 and Figure 11 below) or in other sizes on special order.

Remove any insulation from the installation area, as well as any loose paint, rust and high spots from the pipe.

2.

Remove the backing paper from the inside of the pipe damping jacket (shown in Figure 12 below).
