For units with firmware revision 2.0.13 or higher, the RS232 interface is

automatically disabled when enabling Remote Inhibit.

REMOTE SHARING

Remote sharing of the power source is provided using one of two protocols:

Samba

: Samba is a free software re-implementation of the SMB networking protocol.

Server Message Block (SMB), also known as Common Internet File System (CIFS) operates as

an application-layer network protocol for providing shared access to resources

miscellaneous communications between nodes on a network.

FTP

: File Transfer Protocol. FTP is built on a client-server model architecture using separate

control and data connections between the client and the server.

Note:

Either one or both may be chosen. It is strongly recommended to set a custom

password to prevent unauthorized access to the power source.
