1.

Clean the fuel filter cap and
surrounding area with a clean rag
to ensure dirt does not fall into the
fuel module.

CAUTION

Dirt in the fuel system can lead to sig-
nificant damage to the fuel system.
Failure to comply may result in equip-
ment or property damage.

CAUTION

Failure to prime any new (dry) fuel fil-
ter  can  cause  severe  engine  damage
due  to  dry  starting  the  engine.  Please
refer to the priming procedure and fol-
low it carefully after installing new filter
cartridges  and  before  starting  the  en-
gine.

CAUTION

Complete  draining  is  required  to  pre-
vent  cross  contamination  of  dirty  fuel
into  the  clean  side  of  the  module  dur-

ing new filter installation. Failure to do
so may cause damage to the engine
fuel system.

NOTE

The fuel filter cartridge is a disposable
filter and must not be cleaned and
reused. Dispose of the filter as chemi-
cal waste.

2.

Loosen the fuel tank cap to relieve
any pressure in the fuel tank.

3.

Loosen primary fuel filter cap until
O-Ring is visible.

4.

Within 30 seconds, loosen
secondary fuel filter cap until O-
Ring is visible.

5.

Wait 2 minutes for the fuel to
completely drain to prevent fuel
from leaking or dripping on the
starter motor.

6.

Remove fuel filter caps completely.

7.

Remove fuel filter element from
caps and discard. Keep caps.

8.

Clean the fuel bowl and filter
housing of any sediment or debris.
