If the V-belt needs to be adjusted, use a 13 mm single-
ended wrench to adjust the tension. Remember to
tighten the screws and re-fit the safety mesh guard.
Replacing the V-belt
1.
Ensure that power is disconnected.
2.
Ensure all moving parts have stopped moving before loosening the plastic clips and
removing the safety mesh guard.
3.
See the previous illustration. Use a wrench and loosen the bolts so that the motor
plate can be moved and loosen the V-belt.
4.
Remove the blades one at a time. Remove the V-belt.
5.
Fit a new V-belt. Fit the blades one at a time.
6.
Adjust the V-belt, as described in the earlier section.
7.
Tighten the screws again.
8.
Re-fit the safety mesh guard.
Replacing the motor
1.
Ensure that power is disconnected.
2.
Ensure that all moving parts have stopped moving before loosening the plastic clips
and removing the safety mesh guard.
3.
As shown in the illustration below, loosen the screws for the motor plate and loosen
the V-belt.
