User Instructions
Important – A control panel with an emergency stop and isolation switch must
be installed.
•
If starting the equipment for the first time, ensure that you have become
thoroughly familiar with the equipment’s functions before use.
•
Visually inspect the equipment – in particular pay attention to any mechanical
irregularities and foreign bodies in the structure.
•
Check that the safety mesh guards are correctly in place.
•
Check that the emergency stop works.
Maintenance
Maintenance and cleaning may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Always
ensure that power is disconnected. Ensure that the propeller and V-belt have stopped
rotating. NB: The fan does not need to be lubricated as its moving parts are made
from self-lubricating materials and are sealed with sufficient lubrication to last the
lifetime of the equipment.
Cleaning
It is recommended that the safety mesh guards are cleaned regularly. If these are
dusty, this will lead to higher energy consumption. If the motor is very dusty it may
overheat and become faulty.
Do not use water to clean the motor.
Adjusting the V-belt
The V-belt should be inspected after 2–3 years. Ensure that power is disconnected.
Ensure that all moving parts have stopped moving before removing the safety mesh
guard. To check the tension, press the belt in the middle between the two pulleys. You
should be able to press down on the belt approximately 15 mm. Also check the V-belt
for wear and other damage.
