Lift the grinder wheel until the middle of the wheel is directly over the stump.

Wait for the grinder wheel to stop rotating, release the brake and move the machine.

Re-lock the brake.
Complete grinding of stump and root
1.
Make sure to set the throttle at high speed, and
the grinder wheel will accelerate to grinding
speed.
2.
Point the grinder wheel towards the stump,
start at the closest top corner of the stump and
swing the grinder wheel evenly from side to
side, cutting off roughly 1 cm of wood with each
sweep.
3.
Lift and lower the grinder wheel between each sweep by raising and lowering the
handles.
4.
Move the stump grinder back and forth by pushing and pulling the handles
respectively. The brake must be unlocked in order to do this. Remember to reactivate
the brake once the stump grinder is correctly positioned and continue grinding.
Continue removing roots as previously described.
Switching off the stump grinder
1.
To switch off the stump grinder after normal operation, first set the throttle on low and
then press the emergency stop button.
2.
Activate the brake before releasing the handles.
3.
Switch off the engine using the ON/OFF button.
Normal switch-off procedure
It is strongly advised to use the switch-off procedure below before releasing the
handles every time you clean, service, transport or maintain the stump. Never deviate
from this procedure.
A rotating grinder wheel is very dangerous. Always stand next to the
handles and make sure that the grinder wheel has stopped rotating
completely before proceeding.
