Safety when using the machine
DANGER
This machine is built to be used in accordance with the rules for safe use in
this manual. Carelessness or error on the part of the operator will result in serious
personal injury. This machine is capable of amputating hands and feet and ejecting
objects. Failure to observe the following safety instructions may result in serious
injury or death.
WARNING:
Engine exhaust, some of its components and some vehicle components
contain or emit chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
Training
1.
Be familiar with all controls and their correct operation. Be aware of how to stop the
machine and disconnect them quickly.
2.
Never allow anyone under 18 to operate this machine and never without proper
instruction.
3.
Thrown objects can cause serious personal injury. Plan your snow throwing pattern to
avoid discharging material onto roads, bystanders and the like.
4.
Keep bystanders, helpers, pets and children at least 25 meters away from the machine
while it is in operation. Stop the machine if anyone enters the area.
5.
Use caution to avoid slipping or falling, especially when driving in reverse.
Preparation
1.
Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment will be used. Remove all doormats,
newspapers, sleds, boards, wires and other foreign objects that can be tripped over or
thrown out of the auger/discharge chute.
2.
Always wear safety goggles or eye protection during operation and while performing
an adjustment or repair to protect your eyes. Thrown objects can cause serious eye
damage.
3.
Do not operate the equipment without wearing appropriate winter clothing. Avoid
wearing loose-fitting clothing as this can become trapped in moving parts. Do not wear
