Cleaning
It is recommended that the safety mesh guards are cleaned regularly. If these are
dusty, this will lead to higher energy consumption. If the motor is very dusty it may
overheat and become faulty.
Do not use water to clean the motor. Use only compressed air. Water will cause the
bearings to rust.
Checking of drive belt
It is recommended that the drive belt’s tensioning is checked at regular intervals. The
correct tension is achieved when the drive belt can be depressed approx. 15 mm
using your thumb and pressing in the middle, between the motor and the pulley.
Procedure to adjust the drive belt:
1. Once the propeller has stopped moving,
open the safety mesh guard on the
motor/drive belt side.
2. Loosen the screws that secure the motor
rails.
3. Tighten the drive belt by pushing the motor
to the side.
4. Tighten the screws again.
5. Replace the safety mesh guard.
Never use the fan without the safety mesh guards.
Use original spare parts only.
