2.
You can avoid being hit by ejected material by moving the machine from right to left.
3.
Use slow and controlled movements to cut thick vegetation. The tempo is dependent
upon what is being cut. Thick vegetation requires slower movements than thin
vegetation.
4.
Never swing the machine too hard as there is a risk that you could lose your balance or
lose control of the machine.
5.
Try to control the cutting movement using your hip rather than letting your arms and
hands take all of the load.
6.
Ensure that wire, grass and dead long-stranded plants do not become wound around
the machine. This material could cause the trimmer head to stall and thus the clutch to
slip, which can damage the clutch system if it happens too often.
Use with brushcutter blade
The brushcutter blade is used to clear bushes or areas with thick vegetation. The
brushcutter can clear vegetation with stems up to 19 mm in diameter.
The mounting flange of the machine is intended for blades with a Ø25.4 mm centre
hole and with a minimum thickness of 1.4 mm.
WARNING
Always wear safety gloves when sharpening the blade or when removing
or fitting the blade and ensure that you use the correct tools and
equipment to avoid injury.
1.
Check that the blade bolt is tightened correctly and that the bolt is not damaged or
worn.
2.
Check that the blade and holder are correctly in position, cf. the instruction and check
that the blade rotates evenly and without abnormal sound.
