•
Always ensure the engine is switched off and has cooled down before filling
with petrol.
•
Wipe up any spilled petrol before starting the machine.
•
After filling, replace the fuel cap and move the brushcutter at least 3 metres
from the spot where you filled it before starting the engine.
The petrol used for the brushcutter is a mixture of unleaded petrol and 2-stroke oil.
The mixing ratio is 40:1 (40 parts petrol and 1 part 2-stroke oil).
If the mixing ratio is incorrect, it may cause damage to the engine.
When storing petrol, it is very important that the petrol can is clean and not
completely full. Petrol expands in heat, so allow for this extra space in the petrol can.
The petrol can must be stored safely, in a safe and secure place where there is little
heat and no naked flame.
Intended use
IMPORTANT
– only use the brushcutter on the recommended materials
and for the recommended tasks.
1.
Keep a secure hold of the handles with both hands. Ensure feet are at shoulder width,
so that your weight is evenly distributed across both feet. Ensure to maintain a good
working posture.
2.
Keep the brushcutter below waist height.
3.
Keep the engine running at the speed required for the work and never increase the
speed to more than what is necessary.
4.
If the machine begins to vibrate or shake, switch off the engine immediately and
inspect the entire machine. Do not use the machine again until the problem has been
remedied.
5.
Keep all body parts at a safe distance from the rotating cutting unit and from hot
surfaces.
6.
Never touch the silencer, spark plug or other metal parts of the engine while the
engine is running or immediately after the engine has been switched off. There is a risk
of serious burns or electric shock.
