Adjusting the throttle cable
There must be 1–2 mm of play measured on
the carburettor’s side. The amount of play can
be adjusted on the cable adjustment (1).
Adjusting the idle speed
1.
If the engine stops a lot when running in
idle, turn the adjustment screw (1)
clockwise.
2.
If the equipment continues to rotate after
the throttle handle is released, turn the
adjustment screw (1) anticlockwise.
Allow the engine to warm up before adjusting
the idle speed.
Maintenance of the hedge trimmer
Lubrication
Lubricate the three lubrication nipples (1) with
a single pump action of a grease gun after 15
hours of operation.
After use, lubricate the trimmer unit with a thin
layer of acid-free oil.
Adjusting the blades
If there is a gap between the two blades, they
must be adjusted as shown on the illustration.
(1)
Loosen the locking nut (A).
(2)
Fully tighten the screw (B) and then turn it 1/3 to
1/2 a turn back.
(3)
Hold the screw in position and tighten the nut.
(4)
Check that the washer (C) is loose enough that it
can be turned with your finger.
