6. CHANGING THE CUTTING BLADE
7. GENERAL MAINTENANCE
1. Lay the petrol edger on its side
with the cutting blade facing up.
Note:
The cutting blade rotates in anti-
clockwise direction.
2. Hold the spindle in place with a
8mm hex key (supplied). Use the
spanner (supplied) to remove the
flange nut, by turning in an anti-
clockwise direction.
3. Remove the flange nut, and blade.
Note:
Ensure that the inner flange and
outer flange nut are clean of any dirt or
grass prior to fitting.
4. Fit the new blade over the inner
flange.
5. Fit the flange nut and tighten firmly
using the open spanner supplied,
in a clockwise direction. Use a
8mm hex key to stop the spindle
rotating.
• Keep the ventilation vents of the tool clean at all times, if possible,
prevent foreign matter from entering the vents.
• After each use, blow air through the motor housing to ensure it is free
from all dust particles which may build up. Build up of dust particles
may cause the unit to overheat and fail.
• If the enclosure of the tool requires cleaning do not use solvents but
a moist soft cloth or soft brush only. Never let any liquid get inside the
tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.
Note:
Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries
caused by the repair of the tool by an unauthorised person or by
mishandling of the tool.
Air filter
1. Loosen the filter cover knob and remove
the filter cover.
2. Remove the air filter, brush off any dry
particles, or dislodge them by tapping the
air filter on a hard surface.
3. Replace the air filter, air filter cover and air
filter cover locking knob.
Replacing the spark plug
When the Petrol Edger will not start and everything has been checked, it
is likely the spark plug will need replacing. The spark plug is not covered
under warranty.
To replace the spark plug:
1. Pull the spark plug lead off the end of the
spark plug.
2. Loosen (anti-clockwise) the spark plug
using the larger socket side of the spark
plug spanner provided.
3. Remove the spark plug and replace with a
new one, as specified.

.
4. Secure the spark plug in position by
tightening (clockwise) the spark plug using
the spark plug spanner provided.
5. Fix the spark plug lead back to the end of
the spark plug ensuring it clicks into place.
WARNING!:
BEFORE CLEANING YOUR PETROL
EDGER OR CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE
PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IS OFF
AND IS COOL. DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG TO
PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING
