Magnetic field warning
Hazardous area 2
The closures of the shoulder straps and arm
shells contain magnets that generate a magnet­
ic field. The magnets can influence the function
of cardiac pacemakers or implanted defibrillat­
ors. A cardiac pacemaker can be switched to
test mode and cause illness. A defibrillator may
cease to function. Interactions with other mag­
netic fields were not tested.
The following precautionary measures are
provided for this hazard:
Product safety devices
• Information with safety notice in the pack­
aging
• Danger notice on the product
• Safety notice in the operating instructions
• Instruction and training for users and quali­
fied personnel
Personal safety precautions
• Wearers of such devices should maintain a
sufficient distance from the magnet. The
magnetic closure manufacturer recom­
mends a minimum distance of 80–100 mm.
• Warn wearers of such devices against get­
ting close to magnets.
3.3 General safety instructions

Injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality
► Only use the product for the defined area of application.
► If the product has been exposed to extreme strain (e.g. due to falling), take any necessary
measures (e.g. repair, replacement, inspection by the manufacturer's customer service,
etc.).
